Years ago I read a book called Happiness is a Choice by author Barry Neil Kaufman, it had a huge impact on my life. It taught me that Happiness really was a choice and to always look for the positive. There is something amazing that happens when you look for the positive, you find it!
Sometimes we get so wrapped up in our day to day life that we can get bogged down and frustrated and we forget to stop and smell the roses. I personally always try to keep fresh flowers or a plant in my home that smells beautifully, for exactly that reason. No matter what happens in my day I can always find something that looks and smells wonderful.
When was the last time that you sat down in the middle of a frustrating day and instead of being angry and short tempered and tried to focus on the positive. If you look hard enough you can almost always find something. I know you wouldn’t be the first to call me Pollyanna, but I can live with that.
One of my my favorite things in a day might be watching the sun rise or set , I always feel happy when I get the chance to stop and enjoy either one. Life is what happens while we are waiting for what we think we need
so make sure and make the most of it. Find something in every day to be grateful for, It’s there if you look.
Even in the middle of a breakup, there is usually something that we can focus on to help us alleviate at least some of the pain. example: Thank god that you know now so you can make peace with this pain and get yourself to a place where you really should be and with the person that will appreciate you for the wonderful person that you are. There is a great song by Garth Brooks that explains it exactly. (Unanswered prayers)
Just the other night a hometown football game
My wife and I ran into my old high school flame
And as I introduced them the past came back to me
And I couldn’t help but think of the way things used to be
She was the one that I’d wanted for all times
And each night I’d spend prayin’ that God would make her mine
And if he’d only grant me this wish I wished back then
I’d never ask for anything again
Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers
Remember when you’re talkin’ to the man upstairs
That just because he doesn’t answer doesn’t mean he don’t care
Some of God’s greatest gifts are unanswered prayers
She wasn’t quite the angel that I remembered in my dreams
And I could tell that time had changed me
In her eyes too it seemed
We tried to talk about the old days
There wasn’t much we could recall
I guess the Lord knows what he’s doin’ after all
And as she walked away and I looked at my wife
And then and there I thanked the good Lord
For the gifts in my life
Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers
Remember when you’re talkin’ to the man upstairs
That just because he may not answer doesn’t mean he don’t care
Some of God’s greatest gifts are unanswered prayers
Some of God’s greatest gifts are all too often unanswered…
Some of God’s greatest gifts are unanswered prayers
I have a wonderful plaque on my wall just above my desk, it says, If you love the life you live…you will live a life of love.
Have an absolutely fabulous day. It all starts with you and your positive attitude! Happiness really is a choice, what are you going to choose?

I agree with your blog. This one can be considered as a topping.Never could be taken negative.Negativity spoils the atmosphere.Just stop being a draw-back and be happy. Why would anyone get interested in things that you are losing and killing you.Why would they like to share misery and sorrow with you ? So just stop there.Tell them how things are good for you. That you enjoy everyday of your life. You are hardly have anything that makes you feel bad and you are right now the happiest person on this planet.
