Do you think that you are ready for love and a relationship? I know you saying of course, but are you really? When you look back at your past relationships do you know what went wrong, have you changed the way that you look at your potential partners and relationships. Maybe you have dated alot and found that they never really evolve into the relationships that you say that you want. Have you looked at what might be holding you back? If you are blaming your potential partners for everything, then you are probably not being realistic. As much as we may not want to look at our part, we have to stand back and look honestly (ouch) at our part. Damn, damn and double damn.
Men and women do speak a different language and if you want more info on that see http://vancouverdating.match-works.com/index.php/2009/07/10/do-men-and-women-speak-the-same-language/ So what do we do about it, knowledge is the key! I like to arm myself with all the knowledge that I can and then you have to remember to put that knowledge into action. It is not enough to learn the lesson but you must live the lessons, or at least try something from a different angle. How many times have you used the same tactics in your dating and relating world only to get the same responses. “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result”. So maybe it’s time to try something different. As I said knowledge is the key.
There are many different workshops available to singles and couples, so how do you weed out and find the one that is right for you. Research a few different workshops, find one that covers an area that you think might want to improve on and make sure that the counsellor is someone that you feel comfortable with. True stuff. Relationships take experience (real-world as well as knowledge). There are so many people out there getting married ridiculously young, sometimes to their first serious partner and then wonder why they wind up divorcing!
I’m not saying those kind of relationships can’t work but seeing relationships as a process rather than a goal definitely helps make them more fulfilling. I don’t think my current relationship would be as successful as it is if I hadn’t had all the lessons from my previous ones!
Mentors do help though in all aspects of life and relationships are no different. I don’t know those people you recommend personally so I can’t vouch for that but if you wanted some recommendations of anyone in Europe I could probably help out.
